Dr. Shana Canfield has always had a passion to be in the health care profession ever since she was a child. She was very sick growing up and had at least 2 respiratory infection every year. As a result of multiple car accidents and other traumas she also suffered from chronic back pain, neck pain, and migraines.
Until she was 19 she thought that her chronic pain and illnesses would always be part of her life and she would have to learn to deal with it. Then she learned about Chiropractic. Chiropractic care aligns the spine to allow the body and nervous system to function and heal properly.
When the spine is misaligned this not only can cause aches and pains but it can affect how the entire body is functioning and healing as well. By getting specific chiropractic adjustments her body was able to heal properly which not only eliminated her pains but her immune system became stronger and she no longer had to suffer with recurring respiratory infections.
Dr. Canfield has dedicated her life to serving families with specific upper cervical chiropractic care, a neurologically based form of chiropractic. The upper cervical spine, the upper neck, is the most important part of the spine since it is the main connection between the brain and body. When this area is misaligned it will affect whole body function, not just head and neck. This type of care changed her life and she would like to pass this on to other individuals and families.
