Personally, there are about 5 restaurants that I frequent that I consider the healthiest of the healthy. These are in no particular order. Just whichever order I wanted them to be in.
#1 - Marie Catrib's - This place consistently gets ranked as the #1 restaurant in Grand Rapids, healthy or not. It just so happens to have some of the most incredible dishes out there. From raw juices to a snack bar to a HUGE menu of healthy lunch options, Marie Catrib's has it all. I was very fortunate to have known Marie before she passed away unexpectedly of pancreatic cancer. Her kind heart and awesome energy has lived on through her son as he takes over the restaurant. The picture featured is their AMAZING chocolate pudding. It is... to die for, but might not be the healthiest option on the menu. :)
#2 - Chipotle - From the burrito bowls to the extra helping of guacamole. Chipotle is one of the only fast food restaurants that one can consider healthy. The CEO has been a champion of truth in labeling and sourcing from local, healthy ingredients.
#3 - Sip Organic Juice Bar - This isn't so much a restaurant as it is a smoothie and juice bar, but they have some awesome raw, organic snack bars that go along with it. One of their smoothies can replace your lunch. They also have delicious juice cleanses available as well.
#4 - Malamiah Juice Bar - The other juice bar option in town. This one is located at the downtown market. I LOVE their jazz and blue juice and their Cocoa Elvis smoothie. Both are wonderful meal replacement options and everything here is SUPER healthy. You can also get a shot of wheat grass and they are willing to help you make anything you want. Also available are juice cleanses that are pre-packaged to take home.
#5 - The Grove Restaurant - Voted the best restaurant in Grand Rapids 2012 - 2015, there is a reason for this. They have a farm to table philosophy so all of their food is incredibly fresh. They also have an entire portion of their menu dedicated to vegan/vegetarian options. No matter what you order, you will be happy you did. I have yet to try anything that I don't find delicious and healthy.
