Dr. Robert Boykin

Dr. Boykin had an early predisposition towards Chemistry, Math, and Science while attending junior high and high school in South Florida. He knew from an early age that he wanted to do something in the medical field as his Grandmother and two of his Aunt’s and were longtime nurses, and their willingness to help people influenced him to pursue a career in the health sciences.

While enrolled in the Biological Science Program at The Florida State University, Dr. Boykin’s father was nearing the 10 year mark of dealing with chronic low back and neck pain. Those injuries led him to endure multiple neck and low back surgeries, numerous opioid mediations, physical therapy, occupational therapy and even a government funded research study.  All with little to no effect.

It wasn’t until Dr. Boykin’s father was referred to a chiropractor that he felt any significant relief from the chronic pain he had been experiencing.  It was at this time that Dr. Boykin sought out a Chiropractor to volunteer with for a couple days.  After spending time shadowing the chiropractor, Dr. Boykin received his first adjustment and at that point made his career choice.

Dr. Boykin attended Life University in Marietta Georgia. During his enrollment in the Doctor of Chiropractic Program Dr. Boykin also enrolled in their Master’s Degree Program in Sports Medicine. This gives Dr. Boykin a significant background in rehabilitation techniques, sports chiropractic, physical therapy, soft tissue mobilization, athletic performance, strength training, and much more.

Dr. Boykin has been practicing for 13 years and has experience in several different types of Chiropractic clinics seeing a wide array of patient types, with an age range from three weeks old to ninety three years young. So you can rest assured knowing that Dr. Rob’s experience will benefit you and your family.

Dr. Boykin utilizes several types of adjusting techniques including Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Gonstead, SOT, and Extremities.

In his spare time Dr. Boykin enjoys leisure activities such as bowling, playing golf, fishing, target shooting, R/C airplanes, working out, and going to the movies.
