Shortly into his undergraduate studies, he began experiencing chronic headaches and neck pain. At this time, he researched and sought care from a local chiropractor. He learned that the headaches and neck pain were very likely from the auto accidents and repetitive trauma through sports and every day activity. After only a couple treatments, he noticed a significant decrease in intensity and frequency of headaches and neck pain. This intrigued him greatly.

Upon graduating from Grand Valley State University, Dr. Alex moved to Iowa with his wife. There, he studied at Palmer College of Chiropractic. His clinical experiences at the Academic Health Center, Sports Outreach, and Davenport Outreach Clinics allowed him to work with all walks of life including athletes, babies, pregnancy, and geriatric. Dr. Alex graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic, received the Academic Excellence Award and nomination for the Clinical Excellence Award.

Dr. Alex is excited to be serving the West Michigan community at Simple Truth Chiropractic. He practices several different types of techniques including Upper Cervical, Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, SOT, and extremities. He is certified in Webster Technique and has taken many additional perinatal and pediatric courses through the ICPA. He has helped patients as young as 2 days old (excluding his three children who received their first adjustment within a couple hours of birth), all the way to his eldest patient at 97 years old, athletes, pregnancies/ perinatal, postpartum, auto injuries, and many other different types of cases.

Outside of the office, Dr. Alex loves spending his time with his wife, and three children (Maverick, their oldest and Penelope and Malachi, their twins).
